About ME
Valtteri, the new finance guy
The world of finance
It's truly amazing.
I find myself thinking about it several times a day. How can I make more money? What actions should I take to guarantee financial freedom to my family? Is there anything I can do to get rid of my 9-5 corporate job and only do projects I’m passionate about? Will I miss my kids grow just because I’m staring at a computer screen making company owners rich for 40 hours a week? Why am I only paid a small amount for my efforts? These are just some of the questions that run through my head daily.
There is an old saying “money doesn’t buy happiness”. I think it’s one of the best financial quotes, since it makes you think about your relationship to money. For me having a lot of money indeed doesn’t buy happiness. It would buy me freedom to do things I want. It would allow me to spend more time with my wife and daughters. It would give me the opportunity to explore the world and find new things to be passionate about. It would allow me to try new foods, wear something else than a pair of broken jeans and it would also guarantee a stable financial future for many others as well.
I’m not rich. Basic necessities are covered such as rent, food and transportation but that’s about it. But I sure as hell will be rich someday and I will do all the things listed above and much more! And the world of finance is going to get me there.
